Valerie Mulvin was invited by the City of Ostrava to be a judge on the competition jury for its new Concert Hall, described as “one of the most important architectural competitions in the city’s history”.

The invitation further develops McCullough Mulvin’s relationship with the Czech Republic, following on from the invitation to participate in the Plato Art Gallery Competition in 2017, and the practice exhibition and lecture at Dum Umeni in Ostrava, Brno and Prague in 2016.

Judging of the first round of the competition takes place in Ostrava in Feb 2019.
