Niall McCullough will be speaking about our Butler Gallery project as part of this year's Kilkenny Arts Festival on Sunday 11th August at 2pm in the Parade Tower, Kilkenny.

The Butler Gallery’s eagerly awaited new premises at Evans’ Home will open next year, complete with four permanent collection galleries, a large contemporary art gallery, an education and learning centre and a media centre. As building work continues apace, Evelyn Graham, Project Liaison Architect at Kilkenny County Council, Gerry Kearns, Professor of Human Geography at NUI Maynooth, architect Niall McCullough and Butler Gallery Director Anna O’Sullivan trace the evolution of the project so far, exploring the concept behind McCullough Mulvin’s acclaimed design, and the challenges of combining a restoration project with a state-of-the-art new space.
