The Crow's Nest student accommodation was officially opened by UCC on 1st September 2023. The project provides 255 beds in three towers of accommodation, along with student facilities, healthcare centre and cafe.

“We are pleased to officially open the Crow’s Nest student accommodation today on a site that had remained vacant and derelict for over a decade prior to UCC’s acquisition. This will breathe new life into this area of the city and I want to thank all the team and local authorities for their work and support for a beautiful addition to the streetscape of Cork city” commented Mark Poland, Director of Building & Estates at UCC.
